This feature would automatically send a follow-up email to customers who do not open their initial winner notification email within a defined time period.
The purpose of this feature is to ensure that winners are properly notified of their wins and do not miss important communications, particularly where action is required (such as claiming a physical prize). Currently, if a customer does not open the initial email, there is no automatic reminder, which creates manual workload and increases the risk of unclaimed prizes.
The automation would monitor email open status and trigger additional reminders if the original email remains unopened after a set duration. This would help reduce missed claims, improve customer engagement, and reduce the administrative burden of manually chasing winners.
Requested Functionality
- Automated Follow-Up Email Trigger
- System detects when a winner notification email has not been opened.
- After a configurable delay (e.g. 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours), a second reminder email is automatically sent.
- Optional ability to send multiple reminders (e.g. Reminder 1 after 24 hours, Reminder 2 after 72 hours).
