What is an RMG License?
An RMG — or Real Money Gambling — license is not your usual gambling license. It’s an ‘approval’to advertise your comps on Meta (i.e. Instagram and Facebook).
Your website must be live and you must have RMG approval before you start promoting your competitions on Meta.
If you advertise your competitions on Meta without an RMG license, you risk getting ad account bans. That’s no fun, and it won’t help boost your business growth, that’s for sure!
Adding People to Your Business Portfolio
Adding us to your Business Manager is pretty much the only thing you need to do. We’ll take it from there and deal with your application ourselves.
For us to get started on your RMG Application, you’re going to first need to add one of our Project Coordinators to your Meta Business Manager and Ad Account.
It’s quite simple, really:
- Navigate to ‘Business settings’
- Below ‘Users’, click on ‘People’
- Click ‘+ Invite people’
- Enter the Project Coordinator’s email address, then click ‘Next’
- Select ‘full access’ as the level of access and click ‘Next’
- Select the asset that you want to assign to the Project Coordinator (i.e. ad account*, in this case) and click ‘Invite’
- The Project Coordinator will receive an invitation to join your business portfolio via email. It can take a few days for all features to become available to them.
*If you’ve forgotten to do this little step here, it’s not a problem. You can add the Project Coordinator to your Ad Account afterwards:
- Head over to Business Manager
- In the ‘Business settings,’ you’ll find ‘Accounts’
- Navigate to ‘Ad Accounts’ and then click ‘+Add’ in the top-right corner

Now that the Project Coordinator has access to your business portfolio, they can complete your RMG Application.
Completing the RMG Application
Before submitting the RMG application, there are a few steps that will need to be completed in the following order:
- We will help you obtain a legal letter for your records (FYI: the solicitor fee is paid separately, but the RMG application—which covers the UK, not Ireland—is part of your website package. If you’re in Ireland, you’ll need an Irish solicitor)
- You’ll read the addendum and sign the RMG declaration
- We’ll take screenshots of the website for evidence
There — teamwork makes the dream work! You don’t need to stress about sending all of this to Meta for approval. We’re here to handle that for you.
Btw, the approval process can take, on average, around six weeks, but we can’t provide a definitive timeframe because once we submit the application, it’s all down to Meta themselves.
No matter how long you wait, it’ll be worth it in the end! Think of all those great promotions you’ll be putting up, no problemo.
